How NOT to start panty selling…or win friends and buyers…

Panty Land has really got me down lately. Just recently we have had a few new sellers whose attitude has been just staggering, and very very disappointing.
Firstly we had a newbie who without introduction or contribution started posting demands for help on Panty Hog. Every post started with ‘I want…’ No please, no thank you, nothing.

Then we had someone who accused me of personally having a problem with Paypal:

Anna, what is your problem. I have been using Paypal to purchase adult material without any problems. “You can’t use Paypal!” maybe your opinion but it is not a fact.

Thankfully my favourite sellers Cindy and Fetish Kitten blasted her, and her sock puppet, off the face of the earth and saved me a job.

Then we had fakest looking seller I’ve seen in a long time (some pics were B cup, other pics were E cup) questioning why she should have to pay the fee to be verified by Panty Trust. As in what’s in it for her and who the hell is Bill? No similar consideration then for the buyers who she expects to send their hard earned cash for her panties then hmm? There is a lot in how you ask a question you know.

Then last night - good grief! I woke with the left side of my head pounding again. I took Panadol, asprin and co-codamol and staggered to my ‘pooter to do a bit of late night surfing whilst waiting for the painkillers to do their thing.

When you log on to Panty Hog you can click onto ‘Show unread posts since last visit’ which lists all the posts. First thing I noticed was that all the last posts were by the same seller and a lot of the threads were months old. Great. You just know what to expect. Sure enough out of the ten posts, six of them were something like this ‘Oh I can do that for you, here is my url’ BOR-RING. This sort of posting is against the rules of the forum:

As a board, admin, mods and members we decided that advertising is one thing, like mentioning new panties, or now doing DVDs, or check out my blog for my new competition, or special offers is one thing, as in that’s okay, it’s informative and within the spirit of the rules BUT post after post of ‘I do that, here is my url‘ is just wrong - it is SPAMMING.
As moderator it is my job to clear up the spam by deleting it and if I have the time to let the poster know why I have deleted it. Can you imagine the amount of boring repetitive rubbish we would have on our favourite forum if every seller did this? A couple of posts of this nature are allowed but advertising is done through our signature areas. Posting is something you do to contribute to enhance the place that is giving you the free advertising in the first place.

Now most new sellers are fine about it. They didn’t realise, apologies given, and they don’t do it again.

Not this seller. This seller replied thus:

If there are requesting and I am responding it’s not spam. You just consider it spam. Spam is sending out UNSOLICITED emails etc.

I am in the technology industry and deal with SPAM on a daily basis. I know the difference. I think you just have a different UNDERSTANDING of spam.

Er, right…I explained again that in this forum it is considered spam, or just plain desperate and to not do it or I shall have to continue to delete the posts.

No desperation here. You will not see me posting if someone hasnt requested etc. Sorry you cant realize I am not SPAMMING.

FFS! Clearly not the brightest button is she? She doesn’t realise that this is a decision made by the owner of the board. I replied:

On this forum it is considered spamming. I am not here to debate the definition of spamming with you. I am here to advise you, in the capacity of moderator, that you are not ALLOWED to clutter up the boards with ‘responses’ particularly when the buyer asked several months ago. If you do this you will find your posts deleted.

It is not in the best interests of the forum to have repetitive posts.

I am very sorry that YOU cannot realise that.

However, there are appropriate places to advertise freely on the Panty Hog site. You are welcome to add your URL and sales info in your forum signature, and you can advertise all you want in your posts. “

I was living up to the rules and advertising in my posts. I was simply replying APPROPRIATELY to the post someone posted PRIOR to me responding to it.

See here is another thing I was doing appropriately. I was simply replying to a request that another member posted. How ever you feel, that is your feeling. You are entitled to your OPINION doesn’t make it correct. Sounds to me like you feel threatened by people that have potential of being successful on this FORUM!

Oh, incidently, arguing and attitude doesn’t mean that you will be successful on the forum - I don’t know where you read that but I think they were just kidding you along.

This is also not a full time job for me. I am successful in my professional day JOB! This is merely a hobby for some of us. Now you should really take a look at yourself and GROW UP and ACT YOUR AGE!

Dearie me. This is clearly a girl who reads what she wants and how she wants. Was this the end of it? Nope. She decided to post a complaint about me on the forum.

I am a new member to this site and was posting legitimate responses to peoples POSTS and Anna (one of the moderators) decides to send me a nasty message stating my messages were SIMILAR and that she considered them spam and deleted them.

These were not SPAM and clearly in response to someone’s WANTS in the WANTS section.

I clearly included my website and email address and left a brief message to each one of the posts. None of them were just copied and pasted!

She tells me SHE considers this spam. Spam is UNSOLICITED emails, messages, and such. This was clearly not SPAM as I was responding to posts and these were legitimate responses to each.

She then sends me to the RULES AND TERMS, which I copied back to her and showed her I was clearly within GUIDELINES.

Then she tells me to grow up and quit being so DESPERATE and that she has washed her hands of me and turned me over to the Moderators.

I mean come on. This is not all that serious. She clearly has over stepped her boundaries and feels threatened by me.

Have any of you run into this problem with Anna before?

I bet she will delete this post. I want to see how long this thread will last!

Let me know your thoughts all. I am new to the site and running into this problem with her, i am sure there are more out there that have had similar problems with her!

I guess she doesn’t realize some of us are smart, and document everything! I can prove what I have said here.

Yep, she’s a smart girl. So smart she got ALL her posts deleted by Admin. So smart that according to her site she ‘attends a local University where she’s majoring in Elementary Education’ but on her Panty Trust page she says she is a legal secretary.

One thing that has always been good about panty selling, and Panty Hog in particular, is the camaraderie that the sellers have. Someone needs advice or gets stuck with something on their site or blog yet other sellers are quite happy to help. Where else would you find business women happily helping their competitors? Yet a few bad apples sneak in and demand help as if it is their right, or they don’t bother doing the necessary research and scoff at anyone trying to help, or they show disrespect for a moderator who has to clear up after them after they have shat all over the forums and then tries to explain why you can’t post repetitive posts!
