Lazy Sundays

Don’t you just love Sundays? I mean once you deliberately ignore the washing, ironing, studying and vacuuming there really isn’t much to do is there? Nothing to do but laze around and buy palm trees for my new island on Second Life.

This morning, as I let the dogs out for their morning tinkle I honestly thought I’d woken up in Pompeii. My car, my bins, my entire yard was covered in ash! I looked around and there was a bleary eyed neighbour clanking as he removed literally hundreds of bottle of booze from the walls surrounding his garden. As his kids are too old now for ‘One Hundred Green Bottles Sitting on a Wall’ I rightly assumed that he had had a bonfire party.
I didn’t let my dogs out for a late night tinkle last night you see because of the fireworks going off. Wesley hates fireworks and usually spends a couple of weeks this time of year sat on my knee and panting rather loudly as he dribbles doggy slobber all over me. Thankfully though he is now decidedly deaf and so slumbers peacefully in front of the fire, completely oblivious to the bangs, whistles and wheeeees. I still didn’t risk taking him out though…just in case. Sadie happily isn’t bothered at all by the noise of fireworks so thankfully that won’t be another 12 years of trembling, panting, slobbering, quivering canine.

What else did I do today? Not much really but I did notice a bit more green on my Page Rank button on my tool bar so I checked it and ta-dah my blog has just gone from a PR3 to a PR4 - whatever that means, I think it means I’m getting more hits, so I’ve included a thingywotsit in my right hand panel thing to show off. Not bad considering I haven’t included any saucy pics for ages now.

Oh god, it’s no good. I really need to get on with my studies - groan.
